Rick Carey

I have had many careers in my life and at the moment I am a painter and an actor. We live on a secluded 7 acre lot on the South Shore of Nova Scotia with our assorted pets and a miniature horse named Cutie. My wife is Heather Mackenzie-Carey and our Daughter Tyla is in Los Angeles taking a degree in Acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

I am completely self taught in that I have had no formal education in the arts. I do learn from other artists and enjoy hearing what motivates them to create, as we see each other at shows and galleries. I am trying new media and techniques as I broaden my horizons.

My works can be seen in galleries around the South Shore , such as the Lunenburg Gallery, The Shoreline Gallery and the Shoreline II Gallery.
