Rida Yawar

Hi! I'm Rida, an architect and sculptor.

I was born and raised and Pakistan. After a 5 year long architecture degree, and practicing architecture for 2 years, i decided to learn clay sculpting because it called out to me. I joined an art studio and learned the basics but unfortunately after about 2 months, I couldn't continue going to studio because of covid. So I practiced and learned new techniques on my own from then onwards.
I like to focus on sensory aspects of space and emotive aspects of art, which allow me to translate human emotions into a physical form.

I'm currently enrolled in MFA Sculpture at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
