Oneyung Kim

When I approach a blank canvas, I draw from a combination of found images and my vivid imagination. People I have met, as well as movies, animations, novels, songs, and art history, all contribute to the kaleidoscope of inspiration that fuels my work.
Using oil, I apply layers of texture and vibrant color contrasts onto wooden surfaces. Through the use of brushes and knives, I strive to bring depth and tactile richness to my paintings.
