Robert Schaad

I am primarily a painter. I work mostly in acrylic on canvas, canvas panel and masonite, but also do: works on paper, some collage and photography. Additionally, I have dabbled in 2D animation.

I dabble in: Videography (with an emphasis on cinema verite), Electronic Music, digital animation (with a 2-D feel). For an extra visceral experience, click on the globe icon to hear some of my electronic noodlings.

School of Visual Arts, NYC. Studied under Don Eddy, Elizabeth Murray, Jack Potter, Hannah Wilke. Attended SVA during the same time period (late 1970s) as: Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, Natalya Maystrenko and Jean-Michel Basquiat (who did not formally attend--but was around frequently enough).

Much discussion, on fashion, art, and music ensued.
