ROMAIN BERGER is a photographer and visual artist who boldly explores universal themes such as vanity, desire, obsessions and superficiality, while blurring the boundaries between the real and the fictional.

Each image is conceived as a cinematic scene where saturated colours, strong symbolism and meticulous composition come together to capture the imagination and trigger reflection.

His visual aesthetic is influenced by neo-pop and homoeroticism, as can be seen in his choice of codes, symbols and representations. However, his work goes far beyond this single dimension. By tackling subjects that touch on the human condition as a whole, they appeal to everyone, regardless of gender or orientation, and have a universal resonance where everyone can make their own interpretation.

His kitsch, provocative and exuberant aesthetic questions the excesses and contradictions of contemporary society, holding up a mirror to modern behaviour.
