I am a New Zealand artist currently based in London.
My process involves improvisation and play – similar to an improvised performance or dance.
Raw, hand made processes that I use reveal the imperfections and limitations of the body. My work often is inspired by accidents, slips and mistakes. My process involves recognising and appreciating un-intentional moments that create something humanly imperfect.
The way that each part holds its own weight is often precarious. This precariousness is an expression of vulnerability of the human body.
