Rukiye Garip

Rukiye Garip was born in 1964 in Bartin, Turkey. She graduated from the painting department of Gazi University. After working as an art teacher for twenty years, she retired. While she painted in various techniques such as oil, pastel and charcoal, she made the full transition to watercolor after her first watercolor work in 2014. She has participated in more than ninety international group exhibitions. She has also won several awards in different countries. Many articles about her paintings have been published in numerous magazines, books and catalogs in many countries. She is a member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and a member of the International Master of Watercolor Alliance (IMWA).
