Samantha Francis

My work is primarily image based and i work often intuitively to dissect images from their origin, altering and fragmenting them somehow to becoe something new and detached. My concerns and practice are located within concepts of the overlooked elements of everyday life, surroundings and disposable culture which i like to subvert, blur and confuse within my work.

My source material often comes from stuff that is readily available and accessible, and from this point I begin to find a way of working with that particular thing/imagery/idea and go with it....
