Satchita Melina

Satchita is a self-taught artist who grew up between New York City and Bologna, Italy, and later for five years in Southeast Asia and South America. She was raised vegetarian way before it was popular, without a TV (or phone for that matter), and was encouraged instead to play in nature, animal-watch, and make art.

Her work consists of free-hand paintings and illustrations that review and draw on her love for the wild, eastern traditions, sexual empowerment and socio-political issues.

Satchita lives in the Bay Area where she works as a free-lance artist and illustrator, birth doula, and yoga/embodiment teacher.
