Born in 1957, May 14th, in Portogruaro Venice.
I am a painter and I create portraits.
I love to mix things tooSacred and profane, for example.

THOSE IMPLICATIONS OF SATURNOS PICTURES LOOK LIKE GROTESQUELY IRONIC TO AN UNEXPERIENCED OBSERVER, BUT THEY ARE REFERENCES TO THE SACRED ART. IN FACT, THE PRECISION OF THE GEOMETRY, THE OBSESSIVE CENTEREDNESS AND SYMMETRY IN THE PORTRAITS, THE CEREMONY AND THE MONUMENTALITY OF HIS PICTURES REFER TO THE TRAGIC ICONOGRAPHIC TRADITION OF WESTERN CHRISTIAN ART. THE SUFFERING HE PORTRAYS IS NOT A MERE AMBIGUOUS FETISH GAME, IT GOES FAR BEYOND THE SADO-MASOCHIST SIDE, IT GOES INTO A KIND OF SECULAR ECSTASY, JOY OF THE SOUL PAID BY PAIN OF THE BODY. HE PAINTS PICTURES OF PASSION, LIKE THAT ONE PECULIAR TO MANY CHRISTIAN SAINTS AND MARTYRS, PORTRAYED DURING THE MOMENT OF THEIR SUBLIME MYSTICAL PLEASURE OBTAINED PHYSICAL TORTURE OF THE FLESH.

Between 1970 and 1980 he lives to Venice to attend first the High School of Art and then the Fine Arts Academy. The High School initiated him into the classical drawing - that will be perfected throughout the years -, whereas the vocational experiences at the Academy were mainly about non-traditional way of expressions.
After graduation his artistic personality was already strong, but he did not single out his own original style yet. So he decided to segregate himself in his studio to start an elaboration that would lead soon to a kind of unique painting, owing nothing to any past or contemporary artist,
and being immediately recognizable in the current international outline as well.
