Sean Garrison

Sean Garrison is a Photographer currently living in Los Angeles focused on architectural photography and conceptual art.

The mirror series (exhibited here) has evolved from a fascination that began with shooting interior spaces with literal mirrors in the space that required bouncing diffused light while physically hiding and trying to get a well balanced exposure. This eventually led to physically inverting images in an attempt to re-view familiar imagery and force the viewer to rethink the idea of perspective and the concept of a 'view'. The mirror and view collided in the mirror series were views are mirrored to be 're-viewed'.

Los Angeles is in an immense landscape with the beauty of both city and nature within reach. My goal is to re-present Los Angeles to itself; the city, the buildings, the beaches, the canyons, and the icons. The project when done will be folded into a book and presented in a physical space TBD in Los Angeles

Self taught photographer and conceptual artist. I am recent transplant to the city of Los Angeles from San Francisco/Oakland.
