Shelley Tudin

Shelley Tudin is a Canadian born artist, and published author. She resides in Brantford, Ontario Canada with her husband Jeff.

At the age of 11, Shelley was diagnosed with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, a condition that causes voluntary muscles to weaken. Despite her physical weakness, Shelley showed early signs of artistic talent. She continued her studies at the University of Guelph and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art.

Shelley considers herself an old soul. She is kind, quick witted, spunky and intuitive.

Her passion for art: painting portraits or compositions with people, using soft tones, captioning emotions and joie de vivre! She has an adoration for vintage items as shown in her vintage still life series.

Inspired by French impressionists, Shelley studied the work and is influenced by Edgar Degas; his paintings of ballet dancers in soft pale tints and Pierre August Renoir; his ability to use brilliant colour, vibrant light while blending his subjects into their surroundings.
