City of Manila, Philippines, 1979 In drawing faces I find company. They are characters whom I could speak my mind. They don?t have voices to answer back but they could hear me. They could comprehend my thoughts even in my silence. I know their character, their flaws, every detail, every curve on their faces. They know who I am. I am their creator. They are a part of me and yet they have their own identities.. Do they get hurt? No.They are feelings personified. You would see in them your purest emotions. They pierce with their gazes as if they could read your inner most thoughts.________ "Faces are not basically individual: they define zones of frequency or probability, delimit a field that neutralises in advance any expressions or connections unnameable to the appropriate significations" -Deleuze and Guattari I write poetry and playwrights as a means of expression. Both are influenced by my experiences in theater and creative writing during my undergraduate course. Drawing and writing have their similarities . Drawing is the closest artistic process I can associate to writing I have been using oil pastels and pencils as coloring mediums every time I wanted to draw or just doodle when dealing with my artis...
