Smoke Art Trevor Cross

I have been making art for the past 12 months. I have no artistic training either formal or informal and am self taught. I studied acting in college and have a BFA in theatre. I have worked in theatre for the past 14 years until the pandemic put a stop to that. Faced with no employment, I decided to do something I have been dreaming about for many years but didn't have the time or opportunity to do - make art. As a child I was talented at art, but a poor experience with an art teacher when I was 14 years old led me to lose my passion and interest in it. It would be 27 years until I would make any art again, so here we are. I find influence in pop art, street art, photography, history, social issues and just people I find inspiring. I work predominantly in portraiture in mixed media. I am on a new journey doing what I should have been doing 27 years ago. It's never too late to be doing what you were meant to do.
