Mehdi Parhizkar

Iranian painter and sculptor!

He translates his vision of a dehumanized world using organic materials. He constructs surfaces where only darkness and raw wounds remain. By using natural materials, he portrays a nature that would rebel against human beings, displaying its anger. The raw texture of the works in this series allows him to convey his vision of suffering while delivering an ecological message. By giving voice to the Earth through the material of clay, he aims to warn humanity about the catastrophes it has itself caused.

A Iranian artist, living in France since 2010, he began using clay as a material to establish a physical connection with his adopted land, France. Using natural materials readily available, where he once laid his baggage, allows him to feel at home far from his native Iran.

2010-2012: Master 1, Fine Arts at the University of Strasbourg, France.
2005-2010: Bachelor's degree in Painting (equivalent to bac+4) at the University of Art in Tehran, Iran.
