Steve Tracy

It is virtually impossible to define an artist like Steve Tracy, because he is indefinable at his very core: one part inexorably raw human spirit; the second a constant evolution of technical skills; and the last puzzle-piece the purest essence of creativity… a naturally luminous soul fused collectively in ubiquitous artistic renaissance. Steve is a vibrant man of many identities and this resonates in the diversity of his work.

Steve Tracy was born in Santa Clara, California, in 1953, and grew up in Colorado and California. At the age of 10, he began painting with a set of hand-me-down oil paints. The root of his education began at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He went on to graduate from the Colorado Institute of Art and furthered his studies in sculpting, design, drawing, illustration and commercial art with Lowell Nesbitt and Deborah Remington. Steve also studied printmaking at California’s Kala Art Institute.
