I am addicted to acrylic paint for its luscious surface and ability to act as a three-dimensional object. My work is made of acrylic paint squeezed out of pastry tubes and squeeze bottles. No brushes are used in its creation because I am looking for the physical presence of the paint to suggest another world and create a three-dimensional painting/sculpture hybrid that exists in space with the viewer. I apply the paint to a flexible matrix, and when dry, I attach faux fur or jewels to add an aura of other worldliness. Esteemed critic, Peter Frank, characterizes my work as "the crass and the cosmic"! Hanging the work is made simple by my use of acrylic keyhole hangers.
