I express my love to create with my emotions in my writing and my art. I love to utilize recycled pieces in some of my paintings and explore as far as I can with my work as possible. I am not inspired by any artist. I feel if I was I would just be considered a copier and I can not do that. I proceed because it's my way naturally to project my emotions, my method of communication, my heart and soul. I am also a collector of art and have a collection of old and new from artists who I believe have created their best from the 1920s to today.

I started young. I studied privately with artists at Crealde´ School of Art, Rollins College, Maitland Art Center, all in Central Florida. I have won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention for my detailed watercolors of old buildings and Victorian era houses while showing at art festivals across the state of Florida starting in 1975 through 1988. Sitting out at fourteen art festivals a year includes Cocoa Village, New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, Gainesville, Ocala, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, Mount Dora, Winter Park Autumn, Lake Eola in Orlando, Kissimmee, St. Cloud, and Titusville. Why do I not paint detailed watercolors now? Later on I developed health issues, one is palsy so I am incapable to even draw a straight line. This has not stopped me. I find love in the freedom of abstract. I worked as a graphic designer by hand and then in 1984 by computer for over thirty years starting with Tom Griffin, different printing houses and then Leigh Jones.

Besides the art festivals as mentioned above, I entered into a show in Orlando benefiting Harbour House, a haven for spouse and domestic abuse. This was something I felt very strong about because of someone I knew through high school who had gone through abuse and kept it quiet until we had met years later at a high school reunion and she told me what her family life was really like. Out of 4000 entries only three hundred were chosen. Of three hundred artists, one work each. This was my last exhibit until now. Did I mention I put a lot of emotion in my work?

Showings since 2023 at several events which include California Upland Habitat Show which I won 2nd place, several CityArts in Orlando, FL exhibits, and shows in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota. More to come. I'm a daily painter exceeding my limitations and imagination. You can also find me on tik tok under my name.
