Sumit Roy

Sumit Roy is an artist, rapper and creative thinker whose work traverses the personal and political. Fiercely independent and collaborative in his work and outlook, he draws on satire, news and popular culture to investigate everyday human behaviour.

He has exhibited at platforms such as the India Art Fair, Homegrown Street and India Habitat Centre, where he held his first solo show I Hope To Match Your Furniture in 2018. Along with being a practicing artist, Roy is the founder of the creative playground, Free Speech, and performs solo and alongside his band, RollsRoys.

Sumit’s works have been acquired by major Indian and international collections, including Adidas for Ranveer Singh and Pharell Williams. He was also the Reebok Ambassador in 2019-2020.
