Susana Sancho Beltran

I am a painter and photographer based in Zaragoza, Spain.
For many years I worked on figurative paintings, but some years ago I started painting colorful abstract paintings. They are expressionist and geometric works. In all of them, emotions are the main subject. These paintings talk about feelings, try to tell stories.
I tend to use bright colors in order to create vibrancy, dynamism and optimism.
My paintings are a hymn to the beauty of nature and life.
In my last works, I am experiencing with the combination of a painting and photographs in black and white. I call this collection "Emotional landscapes".
In them I'm looking for a new interpretation of the landscape through the dialogue between photography and painting.
My preferred mediums are oil and acrylic on canvas and I generally paint on hand stretched canvas. I also do limited edition photography prints on canvas.
My work has been exhibed in solo, group and traveling exhibitions, and is hanging in private collections over the world.

Degree in Economics and Business Administration by the University of Zaragoza.
I started painting when I was a child but is in 1999 when I start work hard in art. For 10 years I went to the study of the (I think) 4 best artist in my citie. So I learnt draw and diferents tecniques and I was able to develop my own artistic style and my own artistic language.
