Suzanne Decuir

I am a painter and textile artist. Most of the time I am most interested in stripping an ordinary scene into its most fundamental shapes. I also enjoy playing with color and have lived in both gray zones (Seattle) and sun spots (Los Angeles) so my artwork gravitates toward one extreme or the other. I like to build texture, suggest rather than define, and I most enjoy creating an expressionistic piece is more about mood than actual places or things.
