Tamara Hridyayeva

Tamara Hridyayeva — Lviv artist, lecturer at the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Ph.D), who works in the latest authorial synthetic media, installations, and action practices. She explores virtual reality as a territory that changes our understanding of nature and the sense of space-time. For her, space is a certain coordinate system where objects from the environment are simplified and acquire the characteristics of symbols, as it been in our folk art since ancient times.

She believes that the new «information society», which perceives any information in synthesis, requires simplification of form and purification of the communication process itself. Then the context becomes transparent and open to change. Tamara's spatial constructions have a stated possibility of deforming the plane and the space around it.

The works «Round Gardens», «Pyramids», «Fields», and «Flowers from Ukraine» are part of the exhibition project, which was completed during 2019-2025. All works are a certain stylization of living nature and are united by an abstract-geometric search: the Carpathians are presented in the form of triangles; gardens, flowers, fields - through a schematic round or rectangular image.
