Born in Roswell, New Mexico, and raised in the vibrant cities of New Orleans and Fort Worth, Texas, my journey into art has been as diverse as my upbringing. My early exposure to different cultures and landscapes deeply influenced my artistic perspective.

While studying Art History at Southern Methodist University, I discovered that observing art was no longer enough for me. I felt a compelling urge to create. This realization marked the beginning of my journey as an artist. My passion for painting grew as I found a profound connection to both humanity and nature through my work.

Painting allows me to achieve a level of focus and presence that everyday life often scatters. When I paint the natural beauty of Colorado or Texas, I immerse myself entirely in the moment. My concerns shift to the nuances of color, process, and proportion. I become absorbed in capturing the way light interacts with a branch or the delicate petals of a flower. The tactile experience of laying a line on canvas and perfecting a shade brings me immense joy and fulfillment.
