Haixin Tao

Born in July 1957 in Shaanxi Province, China.
An influential scholar, painting and calligraphy artist.

Began to study painting and calligraphic art since childhood, and has never stopped for the next 50 years.
Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Chemistry, Tsinghua University，1982.
Master’s degree in Technology Economics, Tsinghua University, 1986.

At the end of 1976, the figure drawing “Red Seed” was selected for display in the First National Art Exhibition of China, Beijing.
June 1999, two paintings were selected for display in the “Art exhibition honoring the 2550th anniversary of the birth of Confucius” in National Art Museum of China, Beijing.
January 2007, calligraphy “Heart Sutra” and 16 screens of “Diamond Sutra” were put on display and auctioned at Hotel Nikko New Century, Beijing.
February 2014, artworks were invited to be part of a “Spring Festival Exhibition” hosted by America Arts Research Institute, Los Angeles.
March 2015, calligraphic artwork “Sun Tzu’s Art of War” participated in the Art Exhibition hosted by North America Arts Group, Los Angeles.
May 2015, artworks were put on display in the “Love and Peace / the Global Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition” and won the Special prize, Los Angeles.
October 24, 2015, on the day of the 70th anniversary of the “Charter of the United Nations”, a set of 57 pieces of work created using the unique gold-lining method, themed “reproduce, remember, and safeguard”, went on a worldwide exhibition, starting at Fairmont Hotel where the actual “Charter of UN” was drafted in 1945, San Francisco.
