Le Nam Tran

Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, 1962.Live and work in Hanoi, Vietnam. My paintings are influenced by modernist abstraction, contemporary culture, and a mixture of the Vietnamese contemporary life and my warring childhood. My paintings are intense attraction and emotive expression. I dismantle objects' external structures, study their internality and then restructure them subjectively. I, thus, have composed my artworks multidimensionally, sentimentally, and with great sympathy and humanity.-From 2000 to 2003, my paintings focused on physical structures.- 2003 to 2005, Compositions of colours and geometries.- 2005 to present, movements of objects and colours.

- In 2002, participated in a group exhibition in Hanoi, generated a great deal of publicity for his work. - In 2005, took part in a 'EXIT' group exhibition at the YOUNG gallery in Hanoi where his abstract work gained critical success. Nam's increasingly high profile enabled him to exhibit in several shows during 2006: McGuire Gallery Showroom, New York, USA; EXIT Group Exhibition at Suffisive gallery, Hanoi, Vietnam. ,
