Painting "FiftyThree" recently sold to NBC studios for the set design on the Netflix series "The Diplomat" starring Allison Janney and Keri Russel. Author and Illustrator of the children's book "What Paul Made - A Story about a Young Paul Klee" sold at Neue Galerie in Brooklyn, NYC, and available on Amazon. A former jewelry designer, recipient of the Chateau Orquevaux International Artist Residency, scholarships to attend The School of the Art Institute Chicago, and former welding apprentice to sculptor John "Jack" Kearney in Provincetown, MA. Accessory designs were selected for the Obama-Biden presidential campaign, Golden Globes, and Sundance Film Festival. Valerie enjoys paddle boarding on Lake Michigan, meditation, coffee shops, naps, and travel.
