Vanessa Caroli

Vanessa is a self-taught abstract artist, born in Caracas, Venezuela and currently based in the United Kingdom. Her work is inspired by the simplicity of everyday life and the emotional freedom that painting provides. Through her art, Vanessa explores a wide range of feelings from joy and serenity to sadness and powerlessness.

Her creative process begins with intuitive mark-making, using palette knives, markers, and unconventional tools to build rich textures on the canvas. She then applies layers of acrylic paint using both additive and subtractive techniques, allowing each piece to evolve organically. For Vanessa, painting is a process of discovery—a joyful exploration guided by emotion rather than expectation.

Unbound by the pressures of perfection or urgency, Vanessa’s work aims to evoke beauty and uplift the viewer’s spirit. Each composition invites a pause, offering a quiet but powerful sense of presence and emotional connection through abstract form.
