Volodia Mesa Alvarez

I reflect many of my dreams and desires in my works, with two main themes: contemporary social reality and the beauty and care of the ecosystem. Many of my works employ dialogues that establish a symbiotic relationship of communication through suggestions of worlds and forms, in which the observer becomes a participant, first seeking, and then discovering, what reality itself can be.

He began studying Visual Arts at age of 19, in workshops held at the Casa de Cultura de Cienfuegos, Benjamín Duarte, and later, in 2001, he deepened his knowledge through the training received from artist and educator Marisol Fernández Granados, in her community artistic project "Huellas" in Cruces, Cienfuegos; of which he became a part in 2002.
