Born in Taipei, TaiwanCurrently living and working in New YorkArtist StatementI am interested in the visual, intellectual and spiritual polarities of Buddhism and Western thought and how each has manifested in my life. I appreciate the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and I understand how Chinese culture has a tradition of abstract thought. Each offers a palette, and each offers new lines and new compositions. Eastern and Western thought can cohabit comfortably on one canvas. I search within myself by visually accepting every painting as authentic. Each offers a deeper connection to my own work. My paintings are visually open and I invite the viewer to experience this honesty and liberate his or her consciousness.
