Yaro Art

YARO (Roland Benoit) was born in New Liskeard (Ontario) Canada. After his Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Literature, he established in Montreal, Québec.
He worked in the communications field as a writer and illustrator. During many years he pursued his studies in visual arts (drawing, painting and mixed media).
YARO is a professional member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels (RAAV) since 2010. His work has been part of many group exhibitions in Canada and in solo exhibitions. His works of art have won prizes and are part of private and public collections.

Motivation and Artistic Intent

Through poetic and expressive bodies, I make visible the inner distortions that are part of us. I believe they greatly influence our identity, self-perception, and relationships.

Over the years, creativity has become one of my favorite means of self-expression. To me, art is a way to understand and question myself and the society in which I live in.
Who am I? What is the meaning of life and my deepest aspirations? What are my hopes for humanity?

I am inspired by these questions and life experiences. Each of us has a unique story and I believe that sharing, on multiple levels, is a path to peace and unity.
