I am impressionist painter Yuriy Vatkin born in Ukraine, living in NY.

Each painting expresses my current emotional state at the time it was created. I am not one to follow trends or to stand in opposition to society. My work is about entering my own subconscious and attempting to reveal unconscious feelings and thoughts. The colors and lines in the paintings are vibrant and saturated. I use textured, bold brushstrokes with help of simple cardboards to convey emotions in my paintings.
I'd also like to point out that my artwork is inextricably linked to nature and the environment.

Over the course of 20 years, my paintings have been collected by individuals in the USA, Netherlands, Singapore, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, UAE, and other countries, with 5 of my works also included in museums of art in Ukraine.
