Liza Zemskova

All the artistic practice of Liza is saturated with reflectivity and the search for peace in the restless modern world. The works are tied to a subjective attitude, show the beauty of simplicity and imperfection. Lyrical heroes live in light melancholy, inner concentration, calm contemplation of the fleetingness of life and are prone to nostalgia.
Lisa’s works are usually figurative paintings and drawings that do not belong to any particular genre, and often contain surreal or even conceptual elements. Narrativeness is also inherent in them, forgetting behind the scenes something important, but elusive, there remains a touch of understatement and mystery. ‘Empty’ space narrates in its own way: nothing is ever finished, nothing is perfect, nothing is eternal. The work is divorced from the context of the environment and the environment; they are cosmopolitan.
