Rindzela Zita

I am Rindzela Zita, an abstract expressionist artist from Maputo, Mozambique.

My work is intuitive, emerging from a deep connection to my inner experiences and emotions. I often begin without a preconceived plan, allowing the process to unfold naturally. This approach leads to spontaneous compositions that reflect the complexities of human experience and at times I get inspired by dreams and visions which I express through my artworks.

Watercolor is my primary medium, chosen for its fluidity and transparency. I employ layering techniques to create depth and texture, allowing each piece to evolve organically. The interplay of colors and forms invites viewers to engage in personal interpretation and reflection.

My artistic journey began in school, where art lessons ignited a passion for creative expression. Though I did not attend a formal art institution, I have cultivated my practice through self-guided exploration and dedication.
