Simoni Gruber

I was born in Germany and later moved with my family to Cyprus. As long as I can remember myself I've been drawing, so after graduating school I moved to Greece to study Painting in Athens School of Fine Arts. While studying (and in the middle of a huge artists block) I discovered the world of tattooing. I'm a professional tattoo artist for a decade now. It got me out of my creative block and made me go back to uni to finish my studies, so in 2014 I got my Fine Arts degree.
It is a struggle to keep my two worlds in balance, but the elements that flow from one part to the other have become an important part of my art.
Human emotion, in it's beauty or not is one of my biggest inspirations. It expresses itself in symbolisms or allegories to tell the story of the memory or the unconscious.
