I don’t see historical paintings as untouchable icons — I see them as flexible frameworks for a good time.

My work creates a dialogue between the weight of art history and the spontaneity of the present moment.

I begin by collaging together my favorite works from art history. The collage becomes a visual guide as I paint, allowing past compositions to merge with present impulses. The phrases emerge organically during the painting process.
