Josefina Aguirre Liao

I am a visual artist. I paint watercolor, acrylic and watercolor on paper, and acrylic on canvas. I was born in Mexico in 1950. I am specialized in Information Theory and used to work in the evaluation and treatment of kids with learning disabilities. Now I am a full time artist. I like to travel, to see what is going on in Paris, London, Viena and New York. I like very much to listen to music when I am working. Classical, Baroque, Opera, Sacra, Coral, Jazz and Pop. I feel the rhythm which helps me in the flow of my painting. I also like to read, about art, and the narrative of the best writers of the moment. I go to the movies often, especially to see art movies. Recently I saw Allegro directed by Christoffer Boe, and Volver of Almodovar. I enjoy life, I am committed to see the interaction between all creation.


I love to blend the concrete and the abstract, and the use of luminous colours. The composition of each also has a rhythm and balance that appeals to me. Also the hint of a subtle meaning to be grasped that sets the imagination to work. Nature is always hinting at me, suddenly I took the hint, I began to see the dance of life full of the Spirit breath in nature and from within. I paint inner ladscapes. My feelin...
