I have been interested in making art for many years. I started my adventure with oil painting in 2020 as a self-taught artist deeply inspired by evening skies, moonlight, restless seas and Scandinavian landscapes. I love creating moods and capturing impressions, moments and memories on canvas. I often apply alla prima technique, but I feel best working on more time-consuming projects, on larger canvases, building depth, layer upon layer. My works are quite minimalistic – usually a hazy composition is enriched only by a bright spot of light or by a clearly marked line of water. I feel most inspired when I am close to nature, appreciating the beauty of fleeting moments.
