Born in Courrières in Northern France, she divides her time between the North of France and Paris, which inspires her many urban scenes, including café terraces. She works in series, drawing inspiration from her surroundings and the places she frequents. In the “Reflections on the passing of time” series, she treats cars and Vespas in the manner of the “vanities” of the past, perforating and rusting the bodywork to reflect the passage of time, which is reducing once-prestigious vehicles to nothing. The parallel with our own existence is obvious. In the “Mes petites Nanas” series, she interprets scenes and situations using her daughter as a model (La comédie des sentiments, Alter Ego, etc.). In the Portraits series, she portrays women not as a pretext for political, social or philosophical discourse, but as part of the creative process itself. They allow her to give free rein to her creativity, to go further in the realization and to add a poetic dimension to the work. By blending tradition and modernity, juxtaposing realistic elements and abstract motifs, a fusion is created between the tangible and the intangible.
