Donna White (BA hons. Fine Art, English; HED) has had a varied and expansive art career crossing two continents. Living in South Africa, Donna developed a reputation for her very carefully crafted photorealistic portraits, until the rigid constraints of photorealism finally unravelled in an explosion of abstract shape, line, texture and colour. Living in the UK since 2000, Donna White has continued her preoccupation with the challenges of presenting three dimensional subject matter within a two dimensional format. Her work has been exhibited across the world, and has hung at the Royal Academy, the RWA, and Royal Society of Portrait Painters, amongst others.
