Zeynep Reis

Zeynep Reis is a contemporary artist based in Istanbul, working primarily in painting. Her practice explores memory, perception, and the emotional traces of lived experience, turning inner landscapes into visual form. Working with oil, acrylic, and mixed media, she reinterprets quiet moments of daily life, urban scenes, and emotional atmospheres through layered compositions, subtle textures, and a sensitive yet vibrant use of color.

She holds a degree in sociology from Istanbul Medeniyet University and continues her research in the sociology of art, an interest that shapes her ongoing exploration of the relationship between art, society, and individual experience. Rather than offering fixed meanings, her paintings leave space for each viewer to find their own reflections within the work.

Since 2020, she has worked as an independent artist, with more than 150 collectors, over 100 commissioned works, and live drawing performances at 20+ events. She also leads painting workshops in Istanbul.
