Akshay Khanna

I am a 21yrs old self-taught artist, based in the UK.
Being born and raised in Verona, Italy I had always been surrounded by the most stunning architecture and landscapes, embedding a liking for artistic scenery from a young age.

Entering middle school during my last year in Italy, I had developed a strong interest for all areas of art I was exposed to: ranging from pencil drawings and collages to paintings and sculpturing, always aiming to produce the most stunning artworks in the classroom.

Having taken up Art & Design as one of my optional modules for GCSE studies (high school), I quickly began focusing on portraiture, creating a number of detailed pencil drawings. For my final exams I decided to attempt an oil painting for which I was awarded the highest grade and subsequently received recognition at the yearly Award ceremonies held at my school.

Although I proceeded to study Engineering at university, where I am now entering my 4th year, I have continued to draw and paint as a hobby, regularly uploading on my instagram page.

Having had a prolonged break from my engineering studies due to the Covid-19 outbreak has allowed me to use this time to further refine my talent and now enter the professional world as an artist, looking to share my passion with the world.
