Iuliia Galiamova is a NY-based painter working primarily in oil on canvas. Born in Russia, she creates symbolic figurative paintings that explore memory, vulnerability, longing, shame, rupture, and emotional survival.
Her work translates psychological states into visual spaces through simplified figures, charged interiors, domestic objects, expressive color, and light. Rather than depicting events literally, Galiamova creates emotional environments where the body becomes a carrier of inner experience and ordinary objects hold memory, tension, and meaning.
Her current body of work, Where Feeling Takes Shape, moves between figuration and abstraction, using personal feeling as a way to explore broader human experiences of intimacy, loss, fear, desire, and transformation.
