Elena De Hados

My name is Elena Gómez Aristu, and my artistic name is Elena de hados. I was born in the beautiful island of Gran Canaria, Spain, in 1970. Early at a young age, I always felt like an artist. I am an autodidact person, although I took specific courses of art and trained as an interior designer.
I am passionate towards nature, as I take walks and, sometimes, paint on the scene. I express myself and create through painting on canvas, in small/large formats and on paper, among other artistic fields such as interior design and jewelry.
Some of my artistic references are painters like Monet, Degas, Gauguin, Sorolla, Joaquín Mir, Vaquero, Jackson Pollock, Pepa Poch, Tapies, Jaume Plenza y César Manrique. As interior designers, I admire Tricia Guilds, Marta de la Rica and both Mercedes Peralta and Mercedes Valdenebro, Patricia Urquiola. As architects I have two references, Frank Ghery and Zahad Hadid.
