Anastassiya Suslova is a watercolor artist based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her paintings explore the quiet intimacy of unhurried life—sunlight on skin, bodies at rest, still water, distant boats, and cities observed in moments of calm.
Working with transparent layers of watercolor, she combines softness and emotional restraint with carefully structured figurative compositions. Her recent practice focuses on contemporary male figures and the relationship between vulnerability, light, water, and memory.
Suslova graduated with honors from the O. Tansykbaev Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts in 2004. Her works have been presented in international watercolor exhibitions in Kazakhstan, Poland, Hungary, and Turkey and are held in private collections in Kazakhstan, Russia, and the United States.
