Karen Broyan - a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, majoring in Easel Painting in the studio of prof. P. Klugowski - an annex to the diploma in stained glass in 2012 and Graphic Design in the studio of prof. W. Michorzewski - annex to the diploma in photography in 2013. In painting, I am most interested in human, but also nature and other topics are close to me. I practice oil, acrylic and watercolor painting. My painting is based on realism, hyperrealism, surrealism and symbolism. Symbolism is especially close to me, therefore every painting I create tells a story and is about something, and no element on the canvas is a coincidence. I also try not to give up the images that often appear to me in the half-asleep phase - they are often snapshots like pieces of a puzzle that I then try to put together or a source of inspiration to create another image. Thanks to this, I can introduce the viewer to the depths of fantastic, surreal, fairy-tale worlds, not devoid of a symbolic layer, in which everything is possible, and the only limit is the limit of our imagination.
