Carlos Alberto Marcano

Plastic artist influenced by the techniques of the 60s: Cineticism and Optical Art, embodying these ideas in modern materials such as acrylic (methacrylate) and others.

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Since I was little I liked to paint, developing in the technique of charcoal.

In Caracas, and wanting to capture my art and do something that was spinning in my head for a long time, I took a piece of acrylic and put it in my laser cutting machine. The result I loved.

From that moment I have dedicated myself to perfecting my technique, always using the same material and technique. I hope you like it!

When I was little I studied drawing and plastic arts, but with the passage of time I devoted myself to more technical studies.

I am an Electronic Engineer and have dedicated almost all my life to Marketing and Advertising.

The last 5 years of my life, in which I have resided in Barcelona, ​​Spain, I have dedicated a little more to develop my artistic vein.

I have participated in small collective exhibitions throughout my artistic career.

In the last expo, I won as "Artist with the best talent", voted among the other participating artists.

I am currently working on preparing two fairs at the end of this year.
