Esther Kassongo

Esther draws her inspiration from from her experience in life, the weather as well as her fascination of the ocean. Her work tries to capture the feelings and emotions felt at the exact moment she is painting the piece. Esther never thinks about the end product or has an idea about what the painting will look like in the end. She simply picks up the brush and starts painting, aiming to describe and evoke emotions.

Esther does not replicate her paintings, everything she does is uniquely created and crafted. Her work is one of a kind bringing an intricate and complex perspective, while still being evoking.

Esther believes that: "a painting is capturing a time, in time''. And that you cannot replicate.

I completed my tertiary education and graduated with a B-tech(Bachelor of Technology) in Hospitality management, Cum Laude. I have accomplished many things and received numerous awards during my studies, but I fell out of love with my major. Art has been a passion I discovered when I really needed it.

Displaying my art in an exhibition is one of my short term goals. I would love to use this platform to bring awareness to my art and grow my following as well as build a substantial portfolio.
