Irena Pasic

Trough color and playful experimentation I am trying to create Painted Poetry.
Taking into consideration painting as energetic and vibrant presence, I would like to invite a viewer to stop for a moment, test desire to recognize object and things, thoughts and sensations and with that to contribute to sense of hope and opportunity.

Irena Pasic graduated with a BA in 1999 at the University of Arts - Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Painting Department and mastered (MA) at the same University in 2005, Drawing Department.
During her professional career she has received a number of painting awards. She was rewarded twice with Petar Lubarda Fund Award and she obtained the scholarship of the Serbia Republic Foundation for the development of science and artistic youth (in the period from 1996 to 2002).
After 2003 she lived and worked in Spain, where she studied third cycle studies at the University of Barcelona, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department in period from 2002 to 2006.
Since 1995 she has displayed at numerous group and individual exhibitions. Her drawings and paintings are part of private collections in Spain, Serbia, France, Germany, USA.
She is a member of ULUS (Belgrade Painting Association).
She currently works like freelance artist and completing her PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.
