Jesus Amado

Having just turned 40 years old, I reach the end of a process of conversion that makes it possible for me to introduce my work today to anyone who peeks into this window.

After studying Mathematics at the UCM in Madrid, when I was working for a technological company, my artistic vocation awoke from its lethargy, and with it was born the powerful affirmation of the existence of a more conducive location to migrate to.

Taking advantage of the free time I had after work, I entered a painting academy. Soon after that, I joined an engraving workshop. Over the following years I extended my training with Graphic Design and Illustration studies. Simultaneously, I soaked up all the knowledge I was able to. I read, I read and I read. About art, philosophy, culture... I eagerly consumed all the the audio-visual material, fortunatelly accessible on the internet nowdays. In short, I fed from the knowledge and practice that my journey required, looking for the necessary energy to be able to draw a “escape line”.
