Jordan Wolfson is a contemporary painter, exploring the juxtaposition of differing modalities. Wolfson returned to the United States in 2002 after living abroad for ten years. He was born and raised in California and did his graduate studies at Yale University School of Art. Wolfson has received numerous awards including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the Ingram Merrill Foundation Grant and a Purchase Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; he was a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA and the Ballinglen Art Foundation in Ireland. Wolfson has exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad. He currently lives in Louisville, Colorado.
